Each pen features 18K gold-plated brass hardware and a black acrylic grip. The pen features a round, smooth barrel made of Grade AAA ocean white mother-of-pearl, a natural, marine material. Long panels of this precious material are carefully measured, cut, positioned, and polished by hand to create a perfectly smooth, seamless, round surface. This intensive polishing process allows the deep vibrancy and iridescence of nacre to be naturally revealed without the need for a clear coat or other finish. A shimmering array of various colors and hues can be seen shifting across the pen's body in the light. While some manufacturers craft pens with tiny pieces of nacre, at Xezo, we believe the difficulty and expense of using ocean nacre of this size and quality makes the stunning effect worth all the effort.
