[About the pattern] William Morris was a British thinker, poet, designer, writer, and painter who had a profound influence on the history of design. This design, named "Strawberry Thief," was created in 1883, inspired by Morris's own experience of having his strawberries eaten by birds when he tried to grow them. In 1979, Liberty Prints used it as fabric for furnishings, and later the pattern was reduced in size and the design was adjusted for Tana Lawn. In 1995, it joined Liberty Prints' Classic Collection and remains incredibly popular to this day.
