wasted money! it is not silver by any means, the metal case is rusted on one side. The jewel has a piece of glass inlaid. This is how it was sent because there are no pieces of glass in the package and the chipping is in the place of attachment. It's not amethyst - it's just a piece of extremely poor quality glass with air bubbles in it
