Royal Copenhagen is a Danish ceramics brand founded in 1775. Its history begins with the discovery of high-quality kaolin on Bornholm Island, and in 1773 Franz Henrik Müller completed the first hard porcelain in Denmark. In 1775, with the support of King Christian VII and Queen Dowager Juliana Maria, the glorious history of the Royal Copenhagen Royal Warrant Kiln began.
