JBL STAGE 2 SPEAKERS – THE OPTIMAL SOLUTION FOR HOME THEATRE
JBL STAGE 2 is a series of loudspeakers designed and engineered at JBL's world-renowned acoustic engineering center in Northridge, California. (USA) and optimized for two- and multi-channel home audio systems. The creators' goal was to create a comprehensive home system that would flexibly adapt to the budget, room size and acoustics of the listening space. . At the same time, emphasis was placed on current design trends and the preferences of the new generation of customers.. All eight Stage 2 models leverage the same technologies to create a perfectly matched harmonic system with high performance, unified aesthetics and the unmistakable JBL sonic signature . They are offered in two stylish color variants with a modern ESPRESSO surface finish. (dark) and LATTE (bright) , that will stand out in any interior. JBL MA Series AV receivers are also designed with the same design, making them the perfect partner for STAGE 2 Series speakers to create the ultimate JBL home cinema solution. Experience the thrill of a live music concert or an action-packed movie scene in your living room. All tones of the sound spectrum come together in pure listening pleasure.
STAGE 280F – DYNAMIC SOUND FOR LARGE ROOMS Speakers STAGE 280F is the flagship product of the entire JBL Stage 2 series. These 2½-way floorstanding speakers are designed for medium to larger spaces and are also very versatile.. They can provide high performance in a Hi-Fi stereo system as well as the main front speakers in a multi-channel home cinema system.. They always guarantee accurate and detailed reproduction and are an excellent choice in any circumstances. The power of 125 W RMS and sensitivity of 91 dB is more than 114 dB at full load. These values guarantee smooth presentation of the dynamic sound of a live jazz concert as well as explosive scenes of action blockbusters. The 6-ohm impedance is ideal for use with most amplifiers and AV receivers, while at the same time providing higher peak efficiency compared to standard 8-ohm speakers. 2½-BAND DESIGN INSPIRED BY LEGENDARY JBL STUDIO MONITORS
1 inch tweeter (25mm)with an anodized aluminum dome and acoustic lens is connected to the upper ear canal using patented High-Definition Imaging Geometry (HDI™), designed for the JBL Professional M2 Master reference monitor. The new generation of HDI™ has passed through the STAGE 2 series loudspeakers to better match them to the listening environment in the home. This technology provides an exceptionally smooth and directional response over a wider sound field. The result is a better presentation of fine details in a well-defined space.. The crossover frequency is set on the crossover set at 2.1 kHz.
Two 8" woofers (200mm)they have a layered conical polycellulose membrane on a rubber suspension, reinforced with round ribs. Thanks to this, they guarantee precise reproduction of low frequencies from 33 Hz, with a characteristic JBL bass drawing and a precise, solid contour, comparable to much more expensive. A sophisticated two-and-a-half-band crossover ensures that each of the bass drivers is assigned slightly different parts of the frequency band, although starting at the same lowest frequency of 33 Hz, its upper crossover frequency extends into the higher frequencies where the tweeter takes over. The solid MDF cabinet construction is internally damped with acoustically inert material to eliminate internal sound wave reflections. Strategically placed internal reinforcements increase the overall rigidity of the enclosure and reduce the transfer of vibration from the transducers. The dual bass reflex mouthpiece is routed to the rear panel above screw terminals that allow for the connection of both thick, bare wires and wires terminated with banana or spade connectors.. Thanks to the bass-reflex housing design, the speakers present a rich and balanced sound even at lower volume levels. The set includes removable, magnetically attached covers made of sound-absorbing fabric (in speaker color) and an elegant stand that not only enhances the aesthetic impression, but also improves the stability of the floor-standing speaker and improves the bass response.
ATMOS AND DTS-X WITHOUT THE NEED TO INSTALL HEIGHT SPEAKERS
The top pair of screw terminals are not intended for Bi-Wire or Bi-Amp connection, but for connecting the signal routed to the top ATMOS speakers. These special modules (JBL 240H - must be purchased separately) can be placed directly on the top surface of the 280F speaker. The modules are directed towards the ceiling and the signal is directed to the listener by reflection from the ceiling structure. The 280F speakers are pre-wired for this progressive way of solving surround sound and have hidden terminals on the top to which modules can be connected. That's why the signal cable connection is largely routed through the interior of the 280F speaker and remains aesthetically hidden. With the JBL 280F speakers, you can easily create a full-fledged ATMOS home cinema yourself, even without the need for the demanding and often impossible installation of ATMOS ceiling speakers.
