This analog clock uses color to help children better manage their own time. Taking advantage of the "pie chart" nature of analog clocks, this clock effectively uses color to divide an hour into four broad quarters, encouraging children to manage their own schedules. By leaving white at the 15-minute intervals (0, 15, 30, and 45 minutes), children are encouraged to shift their mindset and return to the white background (the background color). In collaboration with interior paint manufacturer Colorworks Co., Ltd., these three color combinations were carefully selected from the company's 1,488 delicate hues, created by blending 12 pigments. This clock, framed in plywood, is made from environmentally friendly natural materials and acts as a "functional graphic" to guide the direction of your interior. [We want to address the changing challenges of parenting with the times.] We created a prototype with the help of interior paint company Colorworks and took into account feedback from users via social media surveys. The decision to use lilac in addition to neutral colors also came from this interaction. Customers had previously expressed a desire for lavender, so we created a prototype and realized their inclusive perspective: "We wanted a bluish color that would be accessible to both men and women."
