For example, Manumobiles' mobiles are not printed (with the exception of some products). Craftsmen hand-paste each piece of cut paper, ensuring it is perfectly aligned. Rather than being mass-produced through printing, they are crafted using the ancient Japanese techniques of "paper cutting" and "collage." Each piece requires three to nine sheets of paper, and this painstaking work produces a quality that is hard to believe is made from paper. Mobiles made from multiple sheets of paper are so solid they could be mistaken for wooden ones. While maintaining their strength, we chose paper for its lightness. While mobiles made from wood and metal are available, they require a certain amount of airflow to rotate. Paper mobiles capture the slight air currents created by even a person's movement, allowing them to rotate easily even in windless environments. We've heard delightful comments from customers saying, "Now I can see the air currents!" Mobiles also help visualize the flow of energy, something we don't usually pay much attention to.

Manumobiles' paper mobiles are easy to install and store. The included thread spool (called "Hand-kun") supports the mobile. The thread can be extended up to approximately 2 meters, and can be secured with pins, as shown in the photo, or masking tape, depending on the ceiling material. We recommend attaching a hook to the ceiling first, as this makes removal easier. Another great thing about mobiles is that you can display different mobiles for each season and create a seasonal feel. Once removed, they lay flat, small enough to fit inside a clear file folder, making them easy to store.
