Product Introduction
A recreation of the famous Shureimon Gate!
Shureimon Gate was built during the reign of King Sho Qing (1527-1555) of the Second Sho Dynasty.
Originally known as "Taikenmon," this was its official name, but it is now commonly referred to as "Shureimon."
It was designated a National Treasure in 1933, but was destroyed along with Shuri Castle during the Battle of Okinawa. The current Shureimon Gate was restored in 1958.
