Seals Models 1/700 Imperial Japanese Navy First-Class Cruiser Iwate

The Iwate was the final ship of the armored cruiser group built under the Six-Six Fleet Plan, completed on March 18, 1901, at the Armstrong Works Elsig shipyard, the same facility as its sister ship, the Izumo. During the Russo-Japanese War, it served as the flagship of the 2nd Squadron, consisting of six armored cruisers. In the Battle of Ulsan on August 14, 1904, despite suffering the 2nd Squadron's greatest losses with over 70 casualties, it annihilated the Vladivostok Fleet. The following year, in the Battle of Tsushima on May 27, 1905, it launched a fierce attack against the Baltic Fleet alongside battleships, contributing to the overwhelming victory of the Japanese fleet.
