[Simon] Since its founding in 1948, Simon Co., Ltd. has focused on the key themes of "hand safety" and "foot safety." Today, as "Simon, the Safety and Disaster Prevention Company that Protects People and Society," we offer safety and health protection equipment and disaster prevention supplies beyond just hands and feet. We established business partnerships with Jallatte of France in 1986 and with JAL GROUP ITALIA of Italy in 2013. By constantly incorporating the latest global technologies and developing innovative safety shoes, we have received a total of nine Good Design Awards. We will continue to strive to develop even safer and more comfortable safety shoes. Our flagship factory, Yanaizu Factory, was the first leather safety shoe manufacturer to achieve ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification. This is because we strive to reduce the environmental impact of the manufacturing process, while also prioritizing the safety of our workers. Simon will continue to contribute to the creation of a recycling-oriented society by reducing environmental impact at every stage. "Hand safety" and "foot safety" are our unchanging themes. Since the sensational launch of Simon leather work gloves in 1957, we have introduced a number of groundbreaking products to the market, including environmentally friendly, non-chrome leather gloves and safety shoes, including Japan's first lightweight resin toe cap. Based on the concept of "fun safety shoes," Simon has pioneered new fields, including the development of Japan's first SX triple-layer safety shoes, the development of a lightweight, incinerable ACM resin toe cap as an alternative to steel, and the establishment of industry standards. Other pioneering achievements include the mass production of foamed polyurethane double-layer safety shoes and the safety shoe industry's first Good Design Award winner. Simon believes that a product's value lies in its ability to match the wearer's sensibilities. The SX triple-layer F sole, an evolution of Japan's first SX triple-layer safety shoes, which combined disparate materials, offers five "Fs": Friction, Flat sole, Flexibility, Fit, and Fineness. Simon continues to evolve daily, providing even greater safety and comfort to meet the needs of today and society.
