Product Description: Radiation-Free, Kosher Certified Frontier® Nutritional Yeast is made from brewer's yeast, a single-celled organism that grows on sugar cane and beet molasses. Yeast is harvested, washed, sterilized and then dried at high temperatures to ‘deactivate’ it. It's inert, so it doesn't have the dough-raising effect of baking yeast, but it's a good substitute for seasoning and dairy-free cheese. Nutritional yeast adds a nutty, slightly cheesy flavor to soups, gravies, sauces, or eggless scrambles. Nutritional yeast powder dissolves quickly, making it especially suitable for cream and cheese sauces. Our bulk nutritional yeast powder is certified kosher and free from radiation.
