While the design, in which the sides (bottom gusset) of the bag fold into a boat shape (triangle), is a basic tote bag shape, it cannot be sewn with a standard industrial sewing machine, making it a rare and unusual design. It uses paraffin-treated Japanese canvas. The canvas is impregnated with wax, making it water-repellent. As the paraffin hardens over time, it forms lines resembling chalk scratches in the creases and wrinkles of the fabric, creating a unique, personalized tote bag. The bag's opening opens easily with a snap button. This bag maintains its shape, making it easy to keep track of items and access them quickly.
