Fine Molds 1/48 Imperial Navy Zero A6M52 Model A (Made by Nakajima) Plastic Model FZ04. The Zero A6M52 "A" was produced not only by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries but also by Nakajima Aircraft Corporation. Like the Mitsubishi A6M52, the Type 99 20mm No. 2 Model 3 machine gun was a drum-magazine type, but the Type 52 A's was updated to a belt-fed Type 4 machine gun with a capacity of 125 rounds. At this time, the gun mounting position was shifted slightly forward, causing the gun's receiver to protrude beyond the leading edge of the wing, and a trapezoidal cover was added. Also, a teardrop-shaped bulge was added to the underside of the wing to accommodate the drum magazine, but this bulge was removed when the aircraft was converted to a belt-fed system. These are the external differences between the original Model 52 and the Model 52A. Another difference between the Mitsubishi and Nakajima versions is the length of the heat-resistant plate attached to the outlet of the thrust-type single exhaust pipe, with the Nakajima version being longer than the Mitsubishi version. Furthermore, the Nakajima Model 52A differs from the Mitsubishi Model 52A in that it is equipped with a larger spinner due to a change in the propeller governor, and a drop tank with a different suspension system. This product meticulously examines numerous photographs to capture these subtle differences and recreates them in three dimensions using new molded parts. The markings recreate the aircraft that appeared in the wartime film "Torpedo Squadron Dispatch" and belonged to the 653rd Air Group, which fought as a carrier aircraft on the aircraft carrier Zuikaku. *This product is a plastic model that requires assembly and painting. *Separate adhesives, tools, paints, etc. are required for assembly and painting. *"Plastic Model" is a registered trademark owned by the Japan Plastic Model Industrial Cooperative. *This product does not include adhesives, paints, tools, batteries, etc.
