Kaweco was founded in 1883 in Heidelberg, Germany, by Heinrich Koch and Rudolf Weber, and was named after them. It is also known for its groundbreaking safety-action fountain pen, released in 1909. The "Kaweco Sport," released in the 1930s, was even designated as the official pen for the 1972 Munich Olympics. The "Kaweco Sport" combines a classic image with functionality and portability. Kaweco ceased operations in 1976 but was revived in 1995 by Gutbarrett GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany. Since then, many pens retaining the original design have been reissued. A brass material has been added to a series designed to resemble 1930s office pencils. You can enjoy the aging process of the pen body as it develops character with use.
