This shinobue (bamboo flute) is for traditional Japanese music (hayashi). Its scale is different from the Western scale (do-re-mi).
From harvesting the bamboo (female bamboo) to degreasing, drying, pipe making, and tuning, each instrument is carefully crafted by hand through numerous processes.
By making the mouthpiece and finger holes smaller, and using slender bamboo, this flute makes it easier for beginners to produce a high, clear tone.
Because these flutes are made from natural bamboo, the color and pattern of each flute will vary. There may be some color variations or inconsistencies in the body. Please be aware of this beforehand.
