This earthenware pot features a distinctive lid resembling chrysanthemum petals and boasts excellent functionality and design, embodying the keywords of eco-friendliness, ease of use, and safety. It has a double-lid design with both an inner and outer lid. Due to its low water absorption rate, it can be used to cook ingredients other than rice, which can easily transfer odors.
With twice the thickness of a regular earthenware pot, it has excellent heat retention and can transfer heat to the rice as if enveloping it, making it easy to cook fluffy, glossy, and delicious rice.
It can be used over an open flame, in an oven, or in a microwave. You can use the microwave to heat food, but you cannot cook rice in it.
Dimensions: 215mm (long diameter) x 195mm (short diameter) x 150mm (height) Capacity: 1.2L
Made in Japan, Banko ware, Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture
●A Japanese-made earthenware rice pot from Yokkaichi Banko ware.
● Uses the highest quality petalite (heat-resistant material).
●Double lid design for delicious rice cooking. (Pressure cooking effect for delicious rice!)
●The heat is distributed gently and retains heat well, allowing heat to be transferred to the rice as if enveloping it, resulting in fluffy cooked rice.
●By slightly extending the time the heat is turned off, you can also make rice with a fragrant, crispy bottom layer.
● Due to its low water absorption rate, it can be used to cook ingredients other than rice that might otherwise absorb odors. For example, cream stew or nikujaga (Japanese meat and potato stew). It's also great for simmered dishes.
