Because bamboo has low thermal conductivity, it doesn't generate much heat when grating food, and because it can grate ingredients coarsely, moisture and dietary fiber are less likely to escape, resulting in fluffy and crisp grated radish. The main body is made from thick moso bamboo that has been split, shaved, and polished, making it durable and long-lasting without cracking. When bamboo is thinly spun into strips and woven, it is a flexible and gentle material, but when the main body is shaved and used, it becomes extremely hard and robust, making it the perfect material for a coarse grater. The specially designed sharp teeth are securely fitted and fixed in place, and the sturdy construction means you can use it roughly without worry. When grating daikon radish with a coarse grater, it can sometimes require some force, so the handle is designed to be easy to grip and allow you to apply firm pressure.
