Its most distinctive feature is the subtle colour difference between the fabric of the front pocket and that of the bag body, giving the appearance that fabrics from different production batches have been used. It is not uncommon to find military clothing and bags where there are colour variations in certain sections of the fabric; this series was created to capture the appeal of these serendipitous, irregular colour combinations. The outer fabric is an industrial-grade material woven from 210-denier, high-strength 6-nylon yarn. Although this fabric is typically used for base fabrics in rubber dinghies—where dyeing is not intended—we have deliberately dyed it to achieve a unique sheen and a rugged, vertical-striped appearance, thereby enhancing the military aesthetic. Inspired by the lining of military jackets, we have used a quilted ripstop nylon in emergency-colour orange for the interior. Up to four different types (colours) of nylon tape are used in key areas, depending on the item, to create an authentic military look. With the exception of a few items, the interior pockets are detachable and can be used as standalone pouches.
