The earrings depict a marquise, part of which is made of amber and part of openwork silver. The beautifully composed pattern is complemented by the addition of depth to the silver through the oxidation process.

Silver oxidation, unlike galvanic coatings, does not involve the application of an outer layer, but rather the modification of the surface layer of silver and involves intentionally blackening or graying it.
