The silver hallmarks always state that this metal has been SILVER-PLATED wafer-thin and underneath there is usually a copper layer that comes to light after a few wears. After that, the fingers, or the arms, or the neck turn black and it doesn't look good anymore. That doesn't happen with a zinc alloy and with stainless steel or titanium you're always on the safe side because it lasts forever. I hope I was able to clarify something, because at first I often fell for stamps etc. and I got annoyed. The only thing you can do is fix the jewelery parts immediately with clear varnish/nail varnish so that they stay beautiful for at least a little longer.😉
