**Care for Cast Iron Pans**

***First Use

First, brush the bottom of the pan and apply a thin layer of lard or vegetable oil.

Then, bake it over low heat. Once the cast iron is properly seasoned, the oil will seep through the pores in the bottom and absorb the grease.

After removing the excess oil, a natural protective film will form on the surface of the cast iron.

First, clean the new pan and heat it over medium heat.

Make sure there is no moisture inside the pan, and then reduce the heat to low. Pour in an appropriate amount of cooking oil (enough to ensure that the bottom is completely clean).

Spread the oil evenly over the bottom of the pan for about 3 or 4 minutes.

Remove from the heat and let it rest for 6 hours before using.

(If some black dust remains from the cleaning process, that is normal.)

This completes the process of opening the pan. Before using it for the first time, simply rinse the pan with hot water.

***Daily care

1. After each use, wipe the water droplets from the pan with a heat-resistant cloth and let it dry.

2. If you won’t be using it for an extended period, apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the pan according to the maintenance instructions to prevent oxidation.

3. If the pan is rusty, clean it with a pot brush dampened in saltwater, and then apply a thin layer of hot cooking oil to restore it to its original condition.
