Nousaku Chopstick Rest Crane and Turtle 502000 - [100% Tin]

These chopstick rests are shaped like auspicious cranes and turtles, respectively. Made of 100% tin, they are soft and can be reshaped for use. Cranes and turtles have long been considered symbols of longevity, as evidenced by the saying, "Cranes live for a thousand years, turtles for ten thousand," and are revered as very auspicious creatures. In addition, cranes are known to stay together for life once they mate, symbolizing "marital harmony," while turtles are known to symbolize "increased wealth" because money was once kept in jars (kame). They are recommended not only for celebratory occasions such as wedding favors and gifts, but also as presents for loved ones. Packaged in a gift box.
